George Kallas named Printer of the Year by Graphic Monthly Canada
MISSISSAUGA, ON—Metropolitan Fine Printers owner George Kallas has been named Printer of the Year by Graphic Monthly Canada magazine, PrintCAN’s printed sibling publication. Kallas, who recently was named a member of the Governor General of Canada’s official delegation to Greece to witness the official handover of the Olympic flame to Canada has been in the industry for more than 30 years.
For Kallas, whose Vancouver-based company also has offices in Hawaii and across the Pacific Northwest quality is king. He says he is a good printer because of the passion he brings to the job. “I really love what I do,” he says. “I believe in the power of print to tell stories and capture people’s imaginations. I’m also a perfectionist.”
The award for Printer of the Year will be handed out at an invite-only ceremony in November.
