Canadian Printeez Set Up American Plant To By Pass Tariffs
BRADENTON, FLORIDA—
To bypass the increased cost of doing business with the U.S. Canadian printer Printeez, a family-owned business from Granby, Quebec has set up a plant in Bradenton, Florida. The company does custom printing, including T-shirts and hats, and expects to be operating out of its new Florida plant by the end of September.

Custom apparel from one to 1,000
|
Printeez takes orders on-demand and can ship deliveries ranging from one shirt to 1,000. The company used to be able to ship orders below $800 without tariffs or without customs, so that was convenient and then next thing you know is you can’t do it anymore. Printeez has invested about $4 million to purchase equipment and get its American operation started. The company expects to hire between 40 and 70 employees.
