JAPAN— Brother has officially launched its new direct-to-film (DTF) printer, the DTRX.“New benchmark for professional DTF printing”, the DTRX is built for continuous use and designed for demanding production workflows, Brother has said, with speeds up to 15sqm/hr in production mode. The machine is suitable for large-format designs and high-volume output, supporting a 780mm print width and 800mm roll width. Brother inks have been developed specifically for the DTRX while automatic ink circulation and a wet wiper cleaner offer an industrial maintenance station to maximize uptime, the manufacturer noted. The printer also features industrial Brother printhead technology for “sharp, vivid results” along with a “seamless integration” into existing production workflows. The 268kg machine offers a maximum resolution of 600x1,200dpi and features 700ml ink tanks for CMYK dual white channels. Additionally it can handle rolls up to 800mm wide and features a 10-inch colour LCD touch panel.
