—  Proforma has agreed to acquire Safeguard from Deluxe Corp. in a deal valued at approximately $25 million, that will raise Proforma’s annual revenue by nearly $180 million and rank among the largest distributor acquisitions in recent years. The transaction, to close in Q1 2026, includes nearly 150 Safeguard distributorships joining Proforma’s network. Safeguard is a  subsidiary of Deluxe, has been around for over 110 years and traces its origins back to the days of one-write accounting systems. Founded in 1978, Proforma is a family-owned and -operated technology and business success leader in printing, promotional products, packaging and e-commerce solutions. Both Proforma and Safeguard brands are franchisors for print brokers or resellers for printing and promotional products. Dealers support for sales training to marketing assistance, technology support and software for print brokers or agents to be more effective. Deluxe is the largest cheque printer in the US and also owns NEBS Business Products in Midland, Ontario, now Deluxe Canada.
