PARIS, ONTARIO—  After over 60 years Thompson Printing & Lithographing of Paris , Ontario is winding down. It is an orderly closure . The plant of about 54,000 sq. ft was sold about 6 months ago.  Thompson had a four colour 40", 5 colour 29 and a six colour 29 with coater. They also had die cutting and bindery equipment which a lot off has been sold off.   At one point the company had almost 100 employees and is down to about 20. Where all give severance,  plenty of notice and provided with out placement. The company did paint can labels, direct mail for customers in South Western Ontario and the Toronto market. Most customers have been transferred to other printers. Reason give for closing was " it is time" after 3 generations they felt it was time.
