Trico Sold to Former General Manager
OTTAWA—
Michael Hothi, the former general manager of Trico Evolution, purchased the business’s assets in a deal that closed in late February. The company has a a staff of 45 , three 40 sheet fed presses, 2 stitches, a perfect binder and mailing equipment . Sales are in the $6 to $8 million range. Michael Hothi was brought on as Sales Manager in 2018 , later became General Manager and then bought the company in 2020. The company has been renamed Trico Packaging and Print Solutions.
Originally started in 1984 and was later merged with Delta and National Printing of Ottawa. It was sold to the Evolution Group out of Montreal who owned several printing companies in Quebec. They tried a net work of companies with limited success. Trico is no longer connected with the Evolution Group.
