Canada Post celebrates UNESCO World Heritage sites
OTTAWA—
The Wood Buffalo National Park stamp
Canada Post has issued five stamps celebrating Canadian locations that have been recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Designed by Lara Minja of Lime Design in Victoria, B.C., the stamps showcase Yukon’s Kluane National Park and Reserve and British Columbia’s Tatshenshini-Alsek Park; The Red Bay Basque Whaling station; Dinosaur Provincial Park; Whaterton-Glacier International Peace Park; and Wood Buffalo National Park.

"Canadians want to share these spectacular landscapes with friends and families and people abroad," Jim Phillips, director of stamp services at Canada Post, said. "We're happy to provide them that opportunity with these special stamps."

The stamps measure 54 mm x 85 mm and were printed by Lowe-Martin Group. The three U.S. rate stamps and two international rate stamps are separately available in booklets of six.
