WIESLOCH-WALLDORF.—  Heidelberg is hosting its second Shift summit in October, focusing on AI and digital printing. The two-day event on 6 and 7 October will feature practical insights into the future of the printing sector, delving into digitization, automation and robotics in hybrid print production. The event last year, which brought together more than 200 international guests for learning and networking. Print industry leaders and digitization experts are invited for the conference which will combine presentations, case studies and networking opportunities. Day one will take place at hall 2, and exhibition space in the city of Heidelberg, Germany, with day two held at Heidelberg’s main factory site, the 'Home of Print', in Wiesloch-Walldorf. On day one, the focus will be on key industry trends and challenges featuring international speakers from printing and technology companies, and consulting firms, offering insights into successful process digitisation projects. Presentations will cover topics including data-driven production, workflow automation, hybrid printing, robotics, and the use of AI in business and production. Heidelberg customers will also present their experiences of implementing new workflows, including Meinders & Elstermann which piloted the Prinect Touch Free with the Jetfire 50 industrial digital printing system.
