Bevcraft Acquires Solcan, Expands to Canada

Bevcraft Group has revived Canadian digital print business Solucan, after purchasing the distressed company’s assets. Based in Mullingar, Bevcraft is a craft beverage canning specialist focused on mobile canning, static canning, digital can printing, laboratory testing, and can distribution services.The Quebec facility will be the ninth facility across the Bevcraft network and adds to operations in Ireland, the UK, US, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The new management team of Sébastien Baril and Jean-François Gaudreault previously ran Solucan, which was one of the very first digital can printer operators in the world and achieved many technical milestones. They printed tens of millions of cans over the last number of years for hundreds of clients across North America, but the business into financial difficulty last year. The two Québécois will be responsible for the wider Bevcraft Group’s digital print strategy and will work with Bevcraft’s UK digital print team as well as the wider team in Ireland.
