LSC Communications Files for Chapter 11
CHICAGO—
LSC Communications, the fourth largest U.S. printer announced that the Company, has filed for Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Law. LSC is the largest book printer in the U.S. also a major retail inserts printer, magazine printer and office products manufacturer. LSC has two locations in Canada, Newmarket and Mississauga under the Tops Products and Esselte Canada names.
LSC’s subsidiaries in Mexico and Canada are not included in the court proceedings . Since the termination of the merger with Quad Graphics last year, LSC has closed, or are in the process of closing, eight facilities. LSC Communications was spun off from RR Donnelly in 2016 with sales of about $3.7 billion and 22,000 employees. Debtors have asked to be included in joint administration while LSC is under Chapter 11 .
