Komori has announced  that it has an agreement to buy the  MBO of Germany , that specializes in the manufacture and sale of post-press equipment. Today, the MBO Group has plants in two locations in Germany , Oppenweiler  and Bielefeld as well as in Portugal. It also operates local subsidiaries in the United States, France and China while maintaining dealers around  countries around the globe. An attempt to sell to Heidelberg was blocked by the European antitrust authorities in 2019.

While offset presses is Japanese manufacturer Komori’s core business , the company  said it is currently “pushing ahead with transforming its business structure in line with the plan’s key strategy aimed at expanding Komori’s range of marketing”. Komori has started to  market  paper cutters, die-cutters, blanking machines, pile turning machines and other post-press equipment that supports package printing.
