Supremex Lays Off Staff from Envelope Division
MONTREAL—
Supremex is reducing its Canadian envelope facilities headcount by a total of 41 employees, or approximately 8% of its Canadian envelope workforce.These measures will result in annual cost reductions of approximately $2.7 million. Supremex has been diversifying with acquisitions in the packaging and label business, G2 Printing, Pharmeflex, Stuart Packaging and Durabox. Packaging is 28% of revenue now goal is to reach 50% packaging and 50% envelopes .
Supremex Inc. is a North American manufacturer and marketer of envelopes and packaging solutions. Supremex operates 12 facilities across seven provinces in Canada and three facilities in the United States employing approximately 830 people. Supremex manufactures and distribute paper and packaging products to major national and multinational corporations, resellers, government and SMEs.
