Exports slide but imports post big hike in January
CANADA—Canadian printing exports in January slumped 1.5% compared to the previous year. Imports picked up steam with a 12.7% hike over January 2010. The results were reflected in our balance of trade which reversed the trend of steady improvement and our deficit slid 94%

 
Exports to the United States were $55.6 million in January, compared to $57.9 million in 2010. Imports from the U.S. climbed to $68.5 million, compared to $59.7 million last year.
