Unisource Canada acquires Mondrian-Hall
RICHMOND HILL, ON—Continuing along the growth-through-acquisition path, Unisource Canada announced yesterday that it is set to buy Mondrian-Hall, a national distributor of imaging supplies, equipment and services with operations in 10 Canadian cities. This deal, expected to close in mid-August, follows Unisource's purchase of Gould Paper, which was announced in May.
Mondrian-Hall, formed through the merger of Mondrian and Treck-Hall in November 2006, specializes in large-format printing, usually signage, and distributes for companies such as Kodak, Epson, HP and Mutoh. The company will retain its brand identity even after the merger has gone through.

Unisource Worldwide set up its Canadian distribution division in 1992 and now operates out of 18 locations across the country.

"This acquisition is an exciting opportunity for both Unisource and Mondrian-Hall. Working together we will be able to increase our competitive edge, drive profitable growth, enhance our service platform, strengthen our supplier base and offer greater operational efficiencies," Bruce Bond, president of Unisource Canada, stated.
