DALLAS,TEXAS—  Koenig & Bauer has introduced the CutPro 2.1, a new flatbed die-cutting machine for corrugated board processing. The die-cutter is designed to prioritize consistent production performance and to minimize downtime in operations. A key focus for the manufacturer was on improving net output, rather than simply achieving theoretical maximum production speeds. The CutPro 2.1 can process sheet sizes of up to 1,300x2,100mm and operate at speeds of up to 7,000 sheets per hour.   It is compatible with a range of materials, from solid board to corrugated board. According to the manufacturer, the machine has been engineered to reduce unexpected stoppages and micro-stops that can affect overall productivity during continuous manufacturing processes. To support uninterrupted production, the company has incorporated technologies including Varioplan and Variolever, which help synchronise gripper movements and reduce the typical causes of machine stops. Features like an automatic chain tensioner, improved waste routing within the die-cutter and a safety mechanism for manually moving the die-cutting unit, are all expected to reduce maintenance and set-up time.
