Heidelberg has announced it will now take over the production of Polar products. On 1 July Heidelberg said it had also reached an agreement to take over the production of Polar equipment. German firm PCT Maschinenbau, which manufactured Polar equipment on Heidelberg’s behalf, entered self-administered insolvency proceedings in April. Heidelberg had already acquired the brand name, intellectual property and service business of Polar in the summer of 2025.
