The new Diamant MC 30 runs at up to 30 cycles per minute, with Muller Martini describing it as an ideal gateway to hardcover production. The Diamant MC 30 book line features the same servo-driven Motion Control Technology and offers many proven functions of high-end book lines. It can produce straight or round book spines, with or without ribbons if required, and with three-piece hardcover cases or flexible cases. The MC 30 can be operated as a standalone system, or as an inline setup with a backgluing line and three-knife trimmer. It can handle book block sizes from 100mm to 380mm in height, from 70mm to 305mm in width, and from 2mm to 80mm thickness. Minimum book case size is 105x190mm, and the maximum case size is 390x670mm. Books can be produced with different paper types and a large range of sizes and grammages. Both hard and flex cases can be separated and processed reliably
