NAGANO,JAPAN—  Mimaki has introduced a new pigment ink to use with its Tiger600-1800TS roll-to-roll printer.The AP50 pigment ink is designed to use with the inkjet printer and has been developed for fast-turnaround graphics to deliver vivid colour reproduction and sharp, smudge-resistant images due to its drying properties.Features include enhanced red saturation for high quality visibility and impact, which Mimaki highlighted makes it ideal for campaign visuals, retail displays, and food advertising. Additionally, the AP50 has been designed for digital coated papers, similar to that used in latex and solvent printing, which allows for “easy integration into existing poster production workflows”. With the AP50 ink, the Tiger600-1800TS printer can deliver production speed for any design of up to 220sqm/hr and allows customers to produce high-volume advertising and display graphics. It has 10kg CMYK ink tanks, an integrated mini-jumbo feeding system that can support rolls up to 300kg, and has a three-roller media transport system to prevent wrinkling.
