WIESLOCH-WALLDORF, GERMANY—  Heidelberg has expanded into the defence industry through a new partnership with German specialist Vincorion Advanced Systems. Vincorion specializes in innovative energy systems for safety-critical applications, including military and civilian deployments. Heidelberg and Vincorion have agreed a multi-year cooperation, which could also be expanded in the future. Heidelberg’s share price soared on the news, rising from €1.59 to a new 52-week high of €2.81 on 30 July. It had settled at €2.38, still up by almost 50% since the beginning of the week, and a near-150% increase since January. The 52-week low is €0.85.
