SWITZERLAND—  Muller Martini makes a range of bindery equipment including finishing lines and stitchers used for commercial print, books, mailings and publications. It was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Switzerland, operations in Germany employs and 1,300 worldwide. Hunkeler was founded in 1922 and employs 280 and is also headquartered in Switzerland .Its pre- and post-press systems are used extensively in high-speed digital printing applications. There was a long-standing partnership between Hunkeler and Müller Martini and a regular exchange. The management of Hunkeler under the leadership of Daniel Erni will remain responsible for day-to-day business. The name Hunkeler, the Hunkeler products and services will remain unchanged. The Hunkeler location in Wikon and its employees will be retained. Müller Martini Holding AG has acquired all of the shares of the Hunkeler Group. With this transaction, the Hunkeler family and Crédit Mutuel Equity have sold off all their shares to Müller Martini. Hunkeler  will remain a separate devision as an important new member of the Muller Martini group.
