WARSAW, INDIANA,—  LSC announced the closure of its last remaining gravure plant. It is one of only a few gravure plants left in North America. In the last six years alone, the gravure print market has declined over 65% and it continues to shrink. At the same time, gravure ink and paper costs continue to rise — up 55% and 30%, respectively. In response to these changing market conditions, LSC announced plans to close its last remaining gravure print facility, located in Warsaw, IN, LSC Communications is North America's fourth largest printer and the largest book printer in North America. Lakeside Book Company  a division of LSC  acquired  Marquis Book Printing of Montreal. Marquis operates three production plants: in Montmagny, Louiseville and Toronto.
