MONTREAL—   Lakeside Book Company ("Lakeside") announced that it has acquired  Marquis Book Printing, Inc. ("Marquis"). Marquis operates three production plants: in Montmagny, Louiseville and Toronto. Marquis also has offices in Montreal and Sherbrooke and sales representation across Canada and the United States. MARQUIS is the largest book manufacturer in Canada and has 550 employees. Marquis is Canada's largest book manufacturer in Canada. Lakeside is the largest book printing and distribution company in the United States and been printing books for more than 150 years. Lakeside is a spin off of American RR Donnelley . Marquis will operate as a division of Lakeside. Dave McCree, Lakeside's Chief Executive Officer, will lead the business. Serge Loubier will continue to manage Marquis, continuing in his capacity as president.Marquis Book Printing was listed as Canada's 27th largest printer by Graphic Monthly.
