Marquis Book Printers To Invest $30 million on Expansion

 In response to the North American book publishing industry's supply chain challenges and increase in book sales, Marquis has announced capital investment of $30 million.  The investments will be operational in 2021-2022 and will impact equally our three Marquis manufacturing plants, located in Montmagny, Louiseville and Toronto. Investments in 2021 includes: Doubling Toronto capacity for perfect-bound books. Increasing Toronto capacity for inkjet book printing driven by upgraded HP inkjet platforms, plus new book finishing capacity.

Increasing Louiseville capacity for monochrome offset printing. Increasing Louiseville capacity with a new highly efficient binding line. Investments in 2022 includes: New EFI print manufacturing and ERP business systems. Doubling capacity at Montmagny for sheetfed offset colour book manufacturing with UV press .Tripling Toronto capacity for case-bound book manufacturing. Automated book packaging in all three plants. Integrating expanded book warehousing and logistic services. Hiring of over 70 new employees to drive higher throughput.
Founded in 1937, MARQUIS is the largest book manufacturer in Canada. 550  employees is at the heart of the action in the publishing industry. Marquis Book Printing was listed as Canada's 27th largest printer by Graphic Monthly.

The success of Marquis is threefold: Market research-based prowess. Management excellence and Meticulous quality control. No one need print in Asia with Marquis here in North America.
