Canadian children's book publisher Orca Books is moving it's printing back to Canada from China and Korea. “There are many reasons for this shift; politically, socially, environmentally we are endeavouring to match our printing decisions more closely to our overall mandate and goals,” publisher Andrew Wooldridge said. He said combined with all the other supply chain issues businesses have faced during the pandemic. The last shipment of books printed in China for the publisher were  on the container ship that caught fire off the coast of British Columbia and lost over 100 containers.

With over 1,000 titles in print and more than 80 new titles a year, Orca prides itself on publishing Canadian authors and bringing them to a wider market.
