Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems  has acquired MultiCam, a US manufacturer and distributor of CNC cutting machines and digital finishing processes.The acquisition includes MultiCam’s operations in the US and sales offices in Canada and Germany. Kongsberg said the deal expands its market reach and customer base across North America and Europe, and “creates the world’s first diversified provider of digital finishing and CNC cutting machines”

The MultiCam  will continue to operate under the MultiCam name within Kongsberg . All of MultiCam’s staff have been kept on as part of the deal and the business will remain at its current premises in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Kongsberg  became a separate company in April following its acquisition from Esko last year by private equity firm OpenGate Capital.
