Canadian Bank Note Buys Bump Worldwide
OTTAWA—
Canadian Bank Note announced the acquisition of Bump Worldwide of Toronto – a company in the digital raffle space that works with clients such as Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs – from U.K. firm Sportech PLC. The deal, which is to close in the second quarter pending regulatory approval, is valued at $10 million. The earn out would be worth an extra $2 million if Bump hits earnings targets.
Canadian Bank Note makes the software that runs online 50-50 raffles for the charitable arms of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and the Toronto Blue Jays. Acquiring Bump is part of Canadian Bank Notes efforts to diversify its business. Canadian Bank Note based in Ottawa has over 1,700 employees. Is one of two printers that print Canadian bank notes and prints bank notes more than 30 countries. They also print secure documents such as passports and driver’s licences for governments around the world. Canadian Bank Note was listed as Canada's tenth largest printer by GraphicMonthly.
