Don Gain Industry Leader Dies
TORONTO—
Don Gain passed peacefully following a lengthy battle with cancer on December 31, 2020 at the age of 71 years. Don was former owner of Harmony Printing and ran the company for 28 years (he purchased the company from its founders in 1988) . Don was a respected leader in the printing industry for over 35 years. He was the past chairman of the board for the OPIA and the past chairman of the CPIA.
He served on the advisory board of the Graphic Communications Management program at Ryerson University and
was also the chairman of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund (which awarded $56,000 in scholarships last year). He was recognized by the CPIA for his Distinguished Industry Service in 2002 and received his CPIA honorary lifetime membership in 2008.

Too bad he stiffed lots of suppliers when he bankrupted Harmony. Ruined his reputation...
