Drupa Loses Two More Press Manufactures
DUSSELDORF, GERMANY—
Komori and manroland sheetfed have announced their decision to pull out of Drupa 2021 planned for April of 2021 due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19. The decision to suspend attending the exhibit is made in response to the continued spread of COVID-19 and the potential risks of a second or third surge of the pandemic . Drupa had already been postponed from June 2020 to April 2021 due to the Coronavirus crisis.
Heidelberger , the worlds largest sheet fed press manufacture , announced that it had pulled out of DRUPA 2021 and other trade fairs next year. Some have compared what is happening to Drupa with happened with Ipex the world's oldest printing trade show ( started in 1880) which died in 2018 after exhibitors started pulling out. 2021 does not look a good year for printing trade shows.
