Appvion mill West Carrollton , Ohio

Domtar  has acquired  the purchase of the point of-sale (POS) paper business of Appvion Operations. The purchase includes the coater plus related equipment located at Appvion’s West Carrollton, Ohio, location plus all licenses for corresponding intellectual property. With this purchase ,  Domtar will become a major, integrated producer of POS paper.

Appvion’s  facility has applied a thermal coating to lightweight base paper made at Domtar  Mill.After thermal coating, it’s slitted  into separate 50-inch-wide rolls. These rolls are shipped to customer facilities wherThese rolls are shipped to customer then converted into  rolls used for receipts at point-of-sale. Appvion was originally a Appleton Paper mill and filed for Chapter 11 in 2017.
