Once part of RR Donnelly , North America's largest printer

 LSC Communications  the  forth largest US printer has hired a  investment bankers to explore a sale of the business that could see it broken up. The $3.3bn  printer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April. LSC is  exploreing  a sale of the company or the four segments. The four segments identified are: books; magazines, catalogues and logistics; office products .

Tried to merge with Quad but was blocked by the American Government

LSC is largest book printer and publishing services printer in the US, with $1.1bn in sales. It prints for eight of the top ten book publishers.  Its magazines, catalogues and logistics division has sales of $1.6bn. Office products is a $500m business. LSC’s operations in Mexico and Canada are excluded from the Chapter 11 filing.  LSC Communications was spun off from RR Donnelly in 2016 with sales of about $3.7 billion and 22,000 employees.
