Komcan , the Canadian dealer  for Komori , has installed an eight-color Komori GL40 with perfector (GL840P) with tower coater and dual UV capabilities at Metropolitan Fine Printers , BC-based carbon neutral printing company. The Komori GL840P unique configuration of the press, which includes both LED-UV and UV. The new press is in Metropoitian’s new  Vancouver facility, along with a full complement of the latest hybrid UV press and finishing equipment.The new Komori press replaces two  presses. 

Metropolitan Fine Printers was number 45 on Graphic Monthly's list of Canada's Top printers. Metropolitan Fine Printers owner George Kallas has been named Printer of the Year by Graphic Monthly Canada magazine, Met bought Rino Print in Calgary and have offices in 4 US cities. Metropolitan Fine Printers is a sheet fed press shop.In 2018 Metropolitan had a fire at its main plant in Vancouver.
