Royal Envelope Bought By Supremex
MONTREAL—
Supremex Canada's largest envelope manufacturer announced the acquisition of the assets of Royal Envelope for a total purchase price of $27.4 million.Founded in 1989 by Peter Bowles and Lou Tucci, Royal Envelope generated approximately $30 million of sales from the direct sale of envelopes and printing services. Royal Envelope employs approximately 135 people at its two primary facilities located in Concord (Ontario)and LaSalle, Quebec.
Supremex has 13 plants in seven provinces, three plants in the US and employes 935 people. In their last full year they did sales of around $195 million and were listed as Canada's 12th largest printer by Graphic Monthly. A public company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In recent years Supremex has been diversifying into the packaging field with the purchase of Stuart Packaging, Durabox, G2 Printing and Phamaflex Labels.
