Reliable Bookbinder plant in Toronto
Reliable Bookbinders went into bankruptcy on Monday May 14th. All employees have been terminated . PWC has been appointed as trustee to either sell the company or to liquidate the assets. The trustee has stated that it is unlikely that any unsecured creditors will receive any payments. Who put the company into bankruptcy is not currently available. The industry has been scrambling to find alternative suppliers.

 Reliable Bookbinders was started in 1945 as a union shop was latter decertified in a bitter strike. They became specialists in high volume perfect binding servicing printers in Ontario and Quebec. The company was run by the Johnson family and was on the third generation. No calls have been returned. The companies associated with Reliable appear to be in operation.
