CPIA( national association) tries to regroup
VANCOUVER—
The two industry regional associations are trying to revitalize the national association.( Canadian Printing Industries Association -CPIA). A couple of attempts have been made by the CPIA it self to reboot the national organization but have failed. Richard Kouwenhoven of Hemlock Printers in Vancouver is leading the charge and has been elected Chair of the CPIA.
The B. C. and Ontario Provincial associations are banding together to try to get the national association going again.
It has been 5 to 6 years since the CPIA has had a national convention. The national has about 30 members across the country. There are about 8000 to 9000 printing locations across Canada. The CPIA was originally established in 1939. Richard Kouwenhoven can be reached at 604 436-2456
