Simon & Schuster publishes limited edition book honouring Bob Dylan
NEW YORK—On Oct. 28, Simon & Schuster will release The Lyrics: Since 1962, a comprehensive, annotated collection of Bob Dylan’s lyrics. The book will give fans a look into his original compositions and the documented changes he made throughout his career.

“Bob Dylan is one of the most important artists of our time,” Simon & Schuster president and publisher Jonathan Karp said. “His work is sometimes compared to Shakespeare’s, and when I held this book in my hands, I couldn’t help thinking that what Christopher Ricks and his colleagues have produced will come to be regarded as the First Folio of Dylan studies. This is an extraordinary work – truly a collector’s item.”

The Lyrics: Since 1962 is 1,034 pages long, with full-colour artwork throughout. Only 3,000 copies will be printed and it will retail for $200. 50 boxed numbered editions will be autographed by the entertainer himself and will be sold for $5,000 online and by phone at 1-877-409-1028.

Dylan has sold over 125 million album worldwide, awarded the French Legion of Honor, a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. His memoir Chronicles: Volume One was published in 2004 and spent  almost the entire year on the New York Times bestseller list.
