Goss taps managing director with packaging cred
DURHAM, NH—Mike D'Angelo is now managing director for the Americas at Goss International, transitioning from 30-plus years at packaging supplier Bobst.
D'Angelo's newly created role falls in line with Goss's organizational transformation of late, following the establishment of regional sales and support centres for the Americas, Europe, China and Asia. As managing director, he will lead Goss's sales, service and support teams for commercial, packaging and newspaper printers in North America and Latin America.
Since 1982 D'Angelo (pictured above) has served in various sales and executive capacities at Bobst, one of the world's largest suppliers of press and auxiliary equipment for the packaging and converting sectors. Most recently, he managed the business unit responsible for Bobst's web-fed products.
Given his work experience, as well as tenures on the board of directors of the Flexible Packaging Association and the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation, Goss notes that D'Angelo will be a key player in the company's plans to further expand into the packaging and converting sectors.
Headquartered in Durham, NH, Goss International supplies presses and finishing systems for magazine, newspaper, catalogue, packaging, direct mail and other printing applications. Last year, it announced the 2014 opening of a Packaging Technology Center dedicated to industry-specific technology testing, focusing on the Sunday Vpak 500 web offset press system.
