Ryobi master distributors intro Ryobi 928
TOKYO—The latest news to come out of Graphic Systems North America (GSNA), the Ryobi master distributors group formed earlier this year, is the introduction of the Ryobi 928 perfecter press.
Unveiled at the recent Japan Graphic Arts Show in Tokyo, the press includes Panasonic LED-UV cure technology. It simultaneously changes plates for makeready times as low as eight minutes, and also instantly dries print.
According to Wes McCallum, vice-president of Winnipeg-based Canadian Printing Equipment, a co-founder of GSNA, the 920 series can cut costs of consumables by 25%, energy draw by 35%, and takes up 35% less floor space than a typical 8-up press.
GSNA formed in July with co-headquarters in four U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, serving all of Canada and the U.S. The two Canadian GSNA organizations are Canadian Printing Equipment and Montreal's KBR Graphics.
