Printers can bid on contract for new 100,000 circulation magazine
TORONTO—Printers will have the opportunity to bid on a contract for a new 100,000 circulation Sportsnet magazine from Rogers coming to newsstands this fall.

While Transcontinental has a contract to print Rogers titles, a six-year deal that was signed in 2008, "the printer (for Sportsnet) is still to be determined," noted Suneel Khanna, senior director of brand communications for Rogers. "An RFQ will be issued to give all printers an opportunity to bid on the magazine printing."

Khanna wouldn't yet reveal anything about the magazine's physical appearance.

The magazine is currently staffing up and several jobs have been posted on the Masthead Job Board, a sister site of PrintCAN.
