New industry resources launched by CPISC
OTTAWA—CPISC is now offering a Skills at Work suite and an online HR tool kit for the printing industry.

The Skills at Work suite "enables employers and employees to use the same skill standards in the workplace to assess skills, identify gaps and ultimately develop an on-the-job training strategy," reads a release from CPISC. The suite includes guides for employees and employers as well as skills assessment checklists and training trackers for all 12 jobs for which skill standards have been developed.
The Skills at Work suite is available for free download on the CPISC website.

The HR Toolkit is designed to address HR issues for small-to-medium size printers in Canada. The toolkit focuses on five areas: skilled staff, setting goals, positive workplaces, health and safety, and planning/organizing.

Accessing the toolkit is $55 per company location and can be purchased at www.printhrtoolkit.ca.
