BURLINGTON, ONT.—Eclipse Colour and Imaging Corp. has been purchased by two of the company’s senior managers, Ralph Misale and Grant Malcolm from its U.S. parent company Adams Outdoor Advertising.

The Burlington, Ont.-based wide format printing company specializes in out-of-home advertising, transit printing and in-store signage. The deal, which became official in February, restores Canadian ownership to the company following 11 years as a subsidiary of Adams Outdoor Advertising.

Malcolm has been named Chief Financial Officer and Misale as Chief Operating Officer. Misale says the company will remain in Burlington, Ont. and is optimistic about its future.

Misale says Adams Outdoor Advertising sold the company to him and Malcolm following their request months ago. “Adams has been here since 1999 and it wasn’t part of its core business,” he says. “Eclipse was its only manufacturing facility in Canada. It was time for them to start to move away from it.”
