Ryerson GCM job fair a success, says organizers
TORONTO—TORONTO—The annual job fair for upcoming graduates and students looking for their fourth year internships was held recently at Ryerson’s School of Graphic Communications Management.
Job fair organizer and departmental assistant Taras Karpiuk says that considering the recession the event was well attended by both companies and students. There were over 37 companies for graduates and 30 looking for interns, says Karpiuk. “Students were happy, positive. Some have already come back and said they have received many calls.”
It is a requirement of the GCM program that students intern for 420 hours before they can graduate the program. Companies including Xerox, Webcom and Lowe Martin attended the fair.
