TORONTO—Xpedx Canada is the new master distributor of Ryobi presses in Canada, the company announced today. It is currently building sales and service teams across the country and will announce details soon. Until last year, Manroland distributed Ryobi presses in Canada. All press formats will be sold and serviced in Canada, including Ryobi’s fully automated 6-up and 8-up presses in up to 10 colours. Parts fulfillment will be through the company’s Memphis, Tenn., distribution centre.

Xpedx Canada will sell the new 42”-plus Ryobi 1050 press, the 36” Ryobi 920 press, the 31” Ryobi 750 and 780 series presses, the 20” Ryobi 520 series, and other smaller-format presses. The 1050 series press is debuting at Print 09 in Chicago, next week and Xpedx will discuss the Ryobi press range at Graphics Canada in Toronto on Nov. 12-14.

Earlier this summer Xpedx Canada acquired the operations of Gould Paper in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Established in the summer of 2007, Xpedx Canada has 110 employees and four distribution/logistics centres in Toronto and Western Canada, along with two Paper & Graphics stores in Brampton and Markham, Ont.
