Communicorp buys Photra
TORONTO -Communicorp Corporation paid $1.6 million to acquire Photra Limited, a 20-year-old pre-media production facility, also of Toronto. Photra’s U.S./Latin American footholds and its range of services, including large-format film output and its early adoption of digital photography and workflows attracted the Communicorp bid. Combined revenues are estimated at $18 million.

Heidelberg Digital is born
HEIDELBERG, Germany– Internal restructuring at Heidelberg will see the creation of a non-impact division called Heidelberg Digital. The move comes after Heidelberg’s acquisition of Kodak’s Office Imaging business. Seybold’s The Bulletin predicts a pitched battled between Heidelberg Digital and Xerox in the non-impact sector.
