Sydney Stone celebrates 60 years!
Sydney Stone, formerly known as Sydney R. Stone & Co. Limited, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Established in 1951 by Sydney R. Stone himself, the company has grown to be industry experts in bindery, lamination, paper cutting and folding needs. Since purchasing the company in 2008 from previous owner David Marsh, Dylan Westgate and Michael Steele continue to maintain the core values of excellent service and quality products to all their customers, while also expanding into other avenues, sectors and innovations. According to Westgate, “We find it very interesting; the printing industry is always evolving. As a company with 60 years of roots, we are proud of the accomplishments of our predecessors and look forward to being a part of the future of Sydney Stone. "

Westgate and Steele have taken Sydney Stone to new levels by continuously looking for new ways to grow. Reinventing the company website to support online orders and resources, advancing their service department to satisfy more customers and increasing value in reconditioned equipment has set Sydney Stone apart. Heightening customer relations through social networking and custom online video tutorials has also become part of their success.

“We used to send digital photos of reconditioned equipment once it was completed, which was a fantastic way to show what the final product looked like. Now it’s moved to digital videos to show both new and reconditioned machines in operation -- and it’s not just a staged video showing the machine running in the best case scenario, but a real one-to-one demonstration catered to the customer’s specific application,” says Steele. Sydney Stone wishes to celebrate their 60 years by continuing the long standing commitment to their customers and providing the best in printfinishing.
