Choose Print: A campaign to promote the effectiveness and sustainibility of print
Why? Because there's a lot of misinformation about print these days, and we all see how much it's hurting our industry. We continually hear statements such as "Print kills trees", "Print is less effective than digital" and so forth.

But the truth is, print is not only a powerful and extremely effective communication medium, it's also renewable, recyclable, and sustainable. Print has a very strong story to tell, and PIASC's new "Choose Print" campaign is designed to tell it.

The year-long Choose Print campaign -- including the new www.ChoosePrint.org website -- will be officially launched during Print Week, on January 17, 2011. Our goals are to provide much-needed, facts-based education about print's credentials; encourage organizations to include print in their marketing mix; and create more revenue for our members.

While PIASC will be implementing a monthly postcard campaign, targeting over 2,500 advertising agencies, graphic design firms, and communication executives within the areas that we serve, we know that the campaign will be even more successful if members like you choose to participate in the program as well. There are many ways that you can get involved and help spread the word:


-Use the Logo: The Choose Print logo (and its usage guidelines) are available for download in the "Get Involved" section of the www.ChoosePrint.org website. Add this logo to your stationery, marketing materials, website, business windows, and more.   

- Promote the Website: The Choose Print website is filled with factual information about the benefits and "green" credentials of print. Invite your clients and prospects to visit it!

- Reprint Articles: Download articles about the power and environmental-friendliness of print from the "Get Involved" section of the website, and reprint them in your company newsletters, on your website, and in your marketing materials.

- Wrap Your Vehicles: Vehicle wrap and decal artwork is available, designed to complement your existing branding.

- Distribute Postcards: The artwork and print files for the monthly Choose Print postcards will be available in the "Get Involved" section of the website. We invite you to print and mail these to your client and prospect lists.
