K-North Services to sell Komori inkjet press this fall
TORONTO—K-North Services has announced it will begin taking orders for the Komori IS-29 UV colour inkjet press this fall. Beta sites in North America will go operational right after Graph Expo in late September and installs are scheduled to start right after that.

The IS 29 is one of the new B2 inkject presses that were the focus of attention at the last Drupa. This one processes cutsheet pages up to 23"x 29” size. Fast outputs of 3,300 sheets per hour simplex, and 1,650 sheets per hour duplex (perfecting), make the IS29 ideal for fast-paced commercial printing environments where larger size cut-sheet pages are necessary and quality is important.

The larger sheet size improves throughput and efficiency. The maximum page size enables six up letter page layouts, a wide variety of ganging and easily integrates into an existing production workflow, making it the ideal solution for short run, variable data (VDP) and fast turnaround jobs.

The IS 29 does not require special stocks and can run any litho stock. In addition it can run 24pt board in straight printing and 18t in perfecting mode while using a perfecting and gripper system similar to Komori’s offset press line-up.

K-North Services Inc. is the Komori Press distributor in Ontario and Western Canada.
