Océ folds into Canon as new division
MISSISSAUGA, ON—Océ-Canada is now a fully amalgamated division of Canon Canada, operating under the name Professional Printing Solutions Group.

"We are excited to welcome and integrate Océ-Canada as part of the Canon Canada family," stated Kevin Ogawa, president and chief executive officer of Canon Canada. "We believe the Professional Printing Solutions group, complemented by the power of the Canon brand, creates greater value and stronger business solutions for all of our customers."

Canon purchased Océ in January 2013, retaining its long-time president and chief executive officer Patrick D'Souza. With the integration, D'Souza shifts roles to senior vice-president and general manager of the Professional Printing Solutions Group.

The division's roots stretch back to 1877, when Océ launched as a family-owned manufacturer of butter-colouring agents. Today, it offers digital presses, high speed digital production printers and wide-format printing systems for technical documentation and colour display graphics. Under Canon's umbrella it will continue to serve the architecture, engineering, automotive, graphic arts, advertising, transaction and direct mail industries.
