Pacific Bindery wins two awards in BIA competition
PITTSBURGH, PA—U.S.-based Binding Industries Association (BIA) recently announced its 2012 Product of Excellence award winners, and Canadian company Pacific Bindery of Vancouver shone through with two top honours.

Pacific was named best in the categories of stitching and adhesive binding.

The winners this year "were part of an amazing array of products entered into the competition this year," reads the BIA website. "To win a Product of Excellence award, an entry must be technically flawless. Winning this prestigious award is considered among many to be the pinnacle of success in the binding industry."

Pacific won in the mechanical binding category last year, while Anstey Bookbinding in Toronto was tops in self-promotion in 2011.

Meanwhile, Norm Beange, owner of Anstey and Toronto's Specialty Graphic Finishers, was recently named to the BIA's hall of fame.
