CMYK Idol looks for top print sales rep
TORONTO—Nominations are now being accepted for CMYK Idol, a contest from Unisource Canada Inc. to find the top sales representatives in Canada.

National marketing coordinator for fine paper Richard Estevam says the focus of the contest is to get buzz back into the print industry.

“After a tough year in 2009 for the industry overall, we decided to launch a fun, lighthearted contest to connect with our customers and partners,” he says. “Everyone is excited about the contest, print sales reps are competing for votes, Designers, Writers and Ad agencies are all getting involved by nominating and voting for their favorite reps.”

The nomination process runs until April 15. Nominations are accepted from anyone who is involved with purchasing marketing collateral, says Estevam. Representatives will be featured from five regions: Québec, Ottawa region and Eastern provinces, Ontario less Ottawa region, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Alberta and Territories and British Columbia.

Following that, the top five representatives from the nomination stage will be posted online for voting from May 10 to 31. The CMYK Idol winners will be announced June 28. (One winner from each region)

The winners of CMYK Idol will be featured in the September/October issue of Design Edge Canada and celebrated at Unisource regional NUARS events.

Unisource is a national supplier of paper, printing, imaging and graphics arts supplies.
